calm headed vegan destroys meat normies (not really, that's false clickbait; he just persuades people by reasoning with their own morals and logic)
I watched a video of Ed discussing with a new Harvard student. The main argument was quite unempathetic (extreme suffering to animals is justified if there is human pleasure in it, but extreme suffering to humans is unjustified no matter the human pleasure). Interestingly, even though the interviewee conceded on all points, he seemed reluctant to try veganism today. His final reasoning was “I do a bunch of morally questionable things” which seemed to say that “because there are multiple morally questionable things in my behaviour, I shouldn’t focus on changing any one”, which is a bit defeatist.
