An ecologist who wants to talk about imperial capitalism when people ask them about the ecological crisis and Climate change.

Palestine is the latest in a long line of countries that have been subjected to violent backlash from "the imperial capitalist core". The core (which is largely the global north; America, Europe, Australia) has an incredible productive capacity which maintained by exploiting the labor and resources of countries outside the core (largely the global south; the middle east, Indonesia, Africa).

While most of the world views the war in Palestine as a moral issue, it's really an economic issue concerned with preserving Imperialism and Capitalism. Joe Biden said in 1986 and again in 2023 that “Were there not an Israel, the United States of America would have to invent an Israel to protect her interest in the region”. From the linked article:

Biden’s frank comments make clear that the U.S.-Israel “bond” is not about defending democracy. Rather, it has always been, and still is, about American imperial interests in the region.

One of the video's comments relevantly quoted Chico Mendes, a Brazilian environmentalist, who stated that "Environmentalism without class struggle is just gardening."
